The Central Minnesota Sustainable Development Plan is a federally funded project designed to boost central Minnesota's economy and sustainable housing and transportation. In partnership with Staples-based Region Five Development Commission, the CMSDP will tap experts from throughout the University in such areas of transportation, housing and land use, while relying on the guidance and input of Minnesotans from Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties.
While the Central Minnesota Sustainable Development Plan (CMSDP) is a landmark venture for central Minnesota, it’s typical of how University of Minnesota Extension works shoulder-to-shoulder with residents and community-based agencies throughout the state for the common good.
In fact, the CMSDP is one of many Extension projects in central Minnesota involving citizen-driven partnerships designed to foster regional resilience. Read more.
